Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) under which the UAE Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT) will help enhance ADX's IT security and protect the exchange's information infrastructure over the electronic network.

"The aeCERT provides more than 30 services to various companies and government institutions. This is our 45th agreement," TRA Director General Mohammad Nasser Al Ganem told reporters upon the signing of the MoU.

"The IT infrastructure is the backbone of day-to-day operations of the market. TRA will help us through the aeCERT team to better monitor the security and safety of our information database," said Rashid A. Al Baloushi, ADX's Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

The MoU doesn't have a finite timeframe, and has no contractual obligations for both parties.
