Little Charlotte a giant in the kitchen
Dubai: Four-year-old Charlotte Lynas already is a culinary whizz-kid.
Since she was two, Charlotte has been an avid watcher of the BBC Food network with her parents Deborah and Ian.
"She likes to do puddings, muffins and we cook pasta together. We like to experiment in the kitchen," said Deborah.
The Lynas family eagerly sat and watched Lesley Waters one of the stars of Ready, Steady, Cook on the BBC Food network show how to make a risotto dish at the Taste Temptation theatre at the Ideal Home Exhibition.
Waters is one of many chefs including Antony Worrall Thompson and Sanjeev Kapoor, as well as Dubai-based cooks who are demonstrating their culinary expertise during the three day exhibition.
"There are lots of children who watch the show, which is great because I think the younger you can get them interested in food the better," said Waters.
The Lynas' agree they introduce their daughter to as many varieties of food.
"I think it's important to experiment because it takes the kids away from fast food and makes them appreciate fresh flavourful food," added Deborah.
