International Defence Exhibition starts in Abu Dhabi tomorrow

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan will on Sunday inaugurate the International Defence Exhibition (Idex 2007), one of the world's biggest defence shows.

This year's exhibition, which has witnessed an expansion of about 37 per cent compared to the previous ones, would be held at the ultra-modern Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec).

The president will officially open the phase I of the new centre which is part of an international exhibition complex that boasts of state-of-the-art equipment and high-tech facilities.

About 860 exhibitors from 51 countries will showcase their products under 33 national pavilions at the exhibition centre.

One hundred and forty three official delegations, invited officially to attend the inauguration ceremony of the eigth edition of this biannual show, would also be present.
