Abu Dhabi Ports has 35-year concession to develop and operate the terminal
DUBAI: The first container feeder vessel, the Dubai Alliance, arrived at Fujairah Terminals, wholly owned and operated by Abu Dhabi Ports since August 1.
Under a 35-year concession, Abu Dhabi Ports has the exclusive rights to develop port infrastructure and undertake operations for containers, general cargo, roll-on roll-off and cruise ships.
Captain Mohammad Juma Al Shamisi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports, said: “We are marking the beginning of a new era for both Abu Dhabi Ports and the Port of Fujairah under the new management of Fujairah Terminals.”
Fujairah Terminals is expected to play a complementary role in maritime shipping activities at Khalifa Port and Zayed Port.
