UAE to continue to upgrade oil facilities

The UAE energy minister says the country will continue to invest in and upgrade facilities despite fall in oil prices.

“We are a major oil producer. We will make sure that our oil production continues,” said the UAE Energy minister Mohamed Al Mazrouei at an energy related conference in Abu Dhabi on Monday.

“We are committed and responsible. We will continue in upgrading facilities,” he said.

Oil prices have fallen nearly 60 per cent due to over supply and weak demand.
