Takreer plans six days of plant clean-up

Abu Dhabi:  Abu Dhabi Oil Refinery, the state-run crude processer known as Takreer, Sunday started maintenance on a unit feeding into the gasoline production plant, a person familiar with its operations said.

Takreer will perform five to six days of scheduled work on the light naphtha isomerisation unit, a person requesting anonymity, said.

The 400,000 barrel-a-day Ruwais refinery was running below capacity, an official said in Abu Dhabi last month. Takreer is adding units capable of processing 417,000 barrels a day.

Full capacity is about 490,000 barrels a day.
