Abu Dhabi SBC, (Schlumberger Business Consulting) the management consultancy arm of Schlumberger, has announced the expansion of its global senior leadership team, with the appointment of Jerome Luciat-Labry as vice-president. Luciat-Labry will be based in the newly opened Abu Dhabi office.

SBC has been working with national and international oil and gas companies in the Middle East for the past five years, and the Middle East office has been formally established in order to better service current and prospective oil and gas clients in the region.

Luciat-Labry's ambitions are to grow SBC's business in the Middle East by a significant factor within the next four years.

Antoine Rostand, President of SBC commented: "Since its launch five years ago, SBC has been about transforming the world's energy business for the 21st Century. We felt it was only natural to have a major office in the heart of world energy production during this critical time for growth in the Middle East. Our decision to appoint Jerome to this position was also a natural fit."

Luciat-Labry added: "The changing dynamic of energy production in the Middle East brings with it numerous challenges, but also myriad opportunities for SBC. Our offering is uniquely applicable to the bulk of NOCs and IOCs operating in the region who require the technical know-how, as well as the strategic guidance in achieving and maintaining efficiencies."

Launched in 2004, SBC has rapidly grown to become one of the world's largest energy sector management consultancy firms.

It works with global energy leaders and many of the world's IOCs, NOCs and independents.
