Dewa CEO receives Japanese Consul-General

Dubai: Welcoming the new Consul-General of Japan, Akima Umezawa, in Dubai, Saeed Mohammad Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa), stressed Dewa’s keenness to consolidate cooperation and joint work with all diplomatic and Consular missions in the UAE. He highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation frameworks and building fruitful partnerships with Japanese companies in fields related to various energy sectors. He focused on solar projects, including the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, which aims to provide 7 per cent of Dubai’s energy from clean sources by 2020, 25 per cent by 2030 and 75 per cent by 2050.
