British firm bags contract in Adnoc’s Shah gas project

Abu Dhabi: As part of the expansion plans of Al Hosn Shah gas plant, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company announced on Wednesday that Front End Engineering Design (Feed) Services contract has been awarded to Britain’s Amec Foster Wheeler.

The contract will enable Al Hosn Gas, an Adnoc operating company, to optimise the design of the expansion project with minimal technical, cost and schedule risks.

Al Hosn Gas is a joint venture between Adnoc, with a 60 per cent share, and Occidental Petroleum which holds 40 per cent.

The expansion of Al Hosn would make Adnoc one of the world’s largest producers of sulphur.
