Empower commissions green cooling plant

Dubai: Empower, the Dubai government-owned district cooling company, started commissioning the region’s first district cooling plant built in line with green building principles, it said on Wednesday.

The facility provides 45,000 Refrigeration Tonnes (RT) of cooling services to developments in Dubai’s Business Bay.

The cooling plant is Empower’s second facility in the Business Bay area and increases the company’s geographic scope to include buildings from Shaikh Zayed Road to Al Khail Road.
