Iraqi oil minister to attend IBBC’s Dubai conference

Dubai: IBBC autumn conference, Opportunity in Adversity will be held on Thursday November 19 at the Address Hotel Dubai Marina. Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade UAE will open the conference. Iraq's oil minister Ihsan Abdul Jabbar Ismaael will be addressing the conference and will be joined by a number of Iraqi government officials, including Dr Abdulkareem Al Faisal, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Advisory Commission.

The delegates will also have opportunity to hear from Adnan Darjal Motar Al-Rubaye, Minister of Youth and Sports, Government of Iraq and Dr Mohamad Shukri, Chairman Board, Iraq Council of Ministers, Board of Investment, Kurdistan, Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy for the Federal Republic of Iraq and President of the Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC). The in-person conference gives delegates an opportunity to learn and network with important members of the Iraqi Energy industry. Some of the major IOCs in Iraq presenting at the conference will include Zaid Elyaseri, Vice President, BP, Ali Al-Janaby, Chairman of Shell Companies - Iraq and UAE / Vice President Shell Upstream - Iraq and UAE Shell

There will be three conference sessions focusing on energy, finance, and infrastructure and logistics. There will also be an online tech forum held in parallel to the main conference in the afternoon.
