UAE, Gabon sign open skies agreement

Pact allows for ‘full flexibility’ on routes, capacity, frequencies and aircraft

Dubai: The United Arab Emirates has signed an open skies agreement with African country Gabon, allowing for unrestricted flights between the two countries by their national carriers.

A Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries was signed by their respective civil aviation authorities, according to an emailed statement from the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) on Wednesday.

The agreement allows “full flexibility on the routes, capacity, number of frequencies and types of aircraft, in any type of service (passenger or cargo).”
