Ras Al Khaimah appoints KPMG to assess airport privatisation

Ras Al Khaimah has appointed KPMG, the auditing and advisory firm, to do a feasibility study on privatising Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, Mubasher reported citing a report from MEED.

The appointment of KPMG comes as Ras Al Khaimah’s government aims to increase the airport’s capacity to 3.5 million passengers annual from 1.5 million passengers.

In April this year, the emirate’s government launched the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone, an authority to operate the free trade zone as part of efforts to attract more investors.
