Dubai: The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA-Dubai) has introduced a special passport stamp for international delegations and visitors arriving for the Dubai Airshow 2025, taking place at Dubai World Central from November 17 to 21.

The commemorative stamp, which features the visual identity of the Dubai Airshow, is being issued to passengers upon arrival as part of a wider initiative to celebrate one of the world’s leading aviation events. Officials said the gesture reflects the UAE’s commitment to strengthening its global footprint in the aviation and aerospace sectors, with Dubai positioned as a major hub for innovation and industry leadership.

GDRFA-Dubai said the stamp also underscores close cooperation with Dubai Airports to ensure a seamless and welcoming entry experience for guests, supported by Dubai’s advanced smart-travel infrastructure.

Lt Gen Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA-Dubai, said the initiative highlights the UAE’s longstanding approach to hospitality and its readiness to receive visitors from across the world.

“The Dubai Airshow is a global platform that attracts specialists, leaders, and decision-makers from every continent,” he said. “Through this special stamp, we aim to further enhance the welcoming experience and reflect the UAE’s distinguished image as host of this prominent event.”

Maj Gen Talal Ahmed Al Shinqiti, Assistant Director General for the Air Ports Sector, said preparations at airports nationwide have been intensified to accommodate the influx of delegations, with Dubai serving as the main gateway for attendees.

He added that the commemorative stamp offers an added touch marking the identity of the event, complementing the smooth and efficient travel experience the UAE is known for.

The initiative reinforces the country’s efforts to strengthen its position in the global aviation landscape, as Dubai continues to attract leading companies and high-level governmental, military, and technological delegations from around the world.

GDRFA-Dubai said the move reflects its commitment to supporting major international events and further cementing the UAE’s status as a key player in the aviation and aerospace sectors, with Dubai at the forefront as a dynamic centre of innovation and excellence.
