Etihad Airways appoints a Vice-President for India and Indian Sub-Continent

Dubai: Etihad Airways said on Wednesday it has appointed Neerja Bhatia to the newly created position of Vice-President India and Indian Sub-Continent (ISC).

Bhatia joined Etihad in 2004 as a Sales Manager — Western India, then was promoted to the position of manager for Western and Southern India. In 2007, Bhatia was appointed General Manager for India, according to an emailed statement from Etihad.

Bhatia’s remit includes flights to eleven Indian cities as well as flights to Bangladesh, the Maldives, Nepal, Seychelles and Sri Lanka.
