Abu Dhabi: Emirates Airlines announced it will be deploying a Boeing 777-300 aircraft on its Algiers route from October 1, and switching from the current Airbus A340-300 in order to increase its passenger and cargo capacity.

The move will offer 97 additional Economy Class seats per flight, representing a 45 per cent increase in capacity, while the number of premium cabin seats will remain unchanged.

Emirates launched services to Algiers on March 1, 2013, and has carried over 272,000 passengers and 12,500 tonnes of cargo on that route to date.
