Emirates to fly more to Portugese capital

Dubai: Emirates announced on Monday it is launching a second daily service to Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal, next year in response to burgeoning demand.

The additional services starts on January 1, 2016 and will be operated by a three-class 360 seat capacity Boeing 777-300ER (extended range), the airline said in an emailed statement.

Emirates “has recorded significant increase in demand” since first launching services to Lisbon in July 2012 and has added on average 15 per cent capacity each year, the airline said.
