"Market dynamics vary in every one of our destinations creating a unique and challenging working environment," said Ahmad Khoury, Emirates Senior Vice-President Commercial Operations, Gulf, Middle East and Iran.

"These moves reinforce our commitment to the long term career development of our employees. I wish each of them the best of luck in their new stations."

Most recently Badr held the role of country manager in Tanzania. Nadim Lahad, the new station manager for Abu Dhabi, has been with Emirates for 16 years. He has most recently held the position of country manager in Kuwait where he was stationed for three and a half years. He will now take on the role of country manager in Syria after spending two and a half years managing operations in Oman.

The Middle East is a key market for Emirates with 201 flights operating across the region each week.

The region continues to grow exponentially each year and Emirates is well placed to capitalise on this growth with a destination network of 109 cities around the globe.
