The Emirates Group, which announced earlier this week that it will be hiring over 17,300 professionals across 350 roles this year, has already listed some vacancies on its website.

The openings span functions such as airline and airport operations, cabin crew, commercial, corporate, customer services, engineering, information technology, and pilots.

These vacancies are available in 22 locations, including the US, India, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Thailand, Japan, and the UAE.

Of the total 136 vacancies listed as on July 25, as many as 94 are based out of the UAE.

But online job listings isn’t the only avenue available to those who wish to work for the airline.

Open days

Throughout the year, the group will be hosting more than 2,100 open days and other talent acquisition events in 150 cities to recruit pilots, IT professionals, engineers, and cabin crew. This also includes Dubai-based events to engage UAE national students and graduates.

Since 2022, the group has onboarded more than 41,000 professionals, including nearly 27,000 in various operational roles, and today has a 121,000-strong workforce.

“We’re seeking world-class talent to fuel our bold ambition, redefine the future of aviation, and continue our commitment and culture of innovation and excellence. This is an opportunity for skilled and talented professionals to play a stellar role in our future, our strategy, and our growth story,” said Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman and CEO, Emirates Airline and Group.

Opportunities in India

The airline has currently three vacancies open in India – a junior office clerk in Delhi, an airport services officer in Kolkata, and a customer sales and service agent at the Mumbai contact centre.

The closing date for the Kolkata opening is July 28, while those for the Delhi and Mumbai slots are August 5 and September 30.

Emirates’ massive hiring drive comes as the airline continues to expand its services, including several in July alone.

Earlier this month, the airline launched regular A350 operations to Dammam, making it Emirates’ first destination in Saudi Arabia to be served by the all-new Airbus A350. It also introduced the premium economy route to Kolkata, building on rollouts in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. The A350 is now also serving the Dubai-Muscat route.

The airline also officially launched a new daily service to Shenzhen, marking the airline’s fourth gateway in the Chinese mainland.

In September, Emirates will deploy a Boeing 777 aircraft to/from Madrid. In October, it will start a third daily service to Dublin, and in December, a third daily flight to Mauritius will be added.

In a significant development, Emirates rturned to the Syrian capital Damascus, putting the “City of Jasmine” back on its expansive network of Middle East destinations, with an initial service operating three times a week. The airline commenced services to Damascus in 1988, and suspended operations in 2012.
