Looks like it's once machine guy away from starting a war...
This is the Kubota X Tractor, a fully autonomous electric machine designed to provide a glimpse at the future of farming – but at first glance it looks like a futuristic robot designed by the military and ready for combat…
That aggressive face sure looks scary but in actual fact it uses artificial intelligence to silently drive itself and choose an appropriate action — ploughing fields, seeding, etc – and not launching a missile. We hope…
The Japanese tractor features four electric motors powered by lithium-ion cells and as you can see, it doesn’t have any wheels but uses four crawlers to give it optimum traction for all terrain. Each of these tracks have their own integrated motor and can rotate their treads at different speeds.
Built by Kubota, it debuted at an exhibition in Kyoto City, Japan this month and the company hopes it will help tackle modern farmer issues such as labor shortage and low operating efficiency.
That may be so but it looks like it is one machine gun away from starting a war...
