Kieffer claims first career win in Czech Masters on DP World Tour

Second-round leader Gavin Green finishes one shot behind in second place

Germany’s Max Kieffer shot a final round six under par 66 for a three-round total of 200, 16 under par, for his first career win on the DP World Tour in the rain-shortened 54 hole €1.75 million D+D Real Czech Masters at Albatross Golf Resort in Prague.

Second-round leader Gavin Green of Malaysia shot a final round of 71 to fall one stroke behind champion Kieffer.

The 32-year-old Kieffer had a final round front nine of 32 with four birdies, followed by further birdies on holes 10 and 11. A bogey on 15 was countered by a birdie three on hole 17 and with a par on his 54th hole he claimed the top prize of €297,500.

Kieffer, a previous winner on the Challenge Tour in 2012 in India, has had a strong season so far with three top 30 finishes recently in the BMW International, Horizon Irish Open and the Genesis Scottish Open.

Final Results (Par 72, 7,468 yards. Tournament reduced to 54 holes due to inclement weather on day three).
