On completing her round Chiara told Gulf News: “I definitely left a few shots out there today, but overall, I am pretty happy with my golf today. Tomorrow looks to be windy, so I am being positive and looking forward to the challenge. I played in the Team Event with US golfer Alison Lee. She was super nice and I really enjoyed getting to play with someone of her level and experience, so the team aspect of it was really enjoyable.”

Winning margin

Alison Lee also shot a level par 72, and has a career high of 23 in the World Rankings and played in the winning 2015 winning Solheim Cup US Team as well as being the defending champion of this event, having won last year with rounds of 65, 65 and 71 for a 15 under par total and a five-shot winning margin from South African Ashleigh Buhai.
