Abu Dhabi Golf Club to host 24th edition of GCC Golf Championships

Men’s Division to be played over 72 holes while Boys’ Division is a 54-hole event

Dubai: The UAE General Authority of Sports, along with the Emirates Golf Federation, have announced that the UAE will be hosting the GCC Golf Championships to be held at Abu Dhabi Golf Club from March 14 to 17.

It is the 24th edition for the men’s and the 13th edition for the boys’ GCC Golf Championship.

Six teams — Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the hosts UAE — have confirmed their participation.

The opening ceremony will take place at 4pm with all the participating teams and GCC Golf Championship officials on Sunday.

The Men’s Division is a 72-hole tournament with 18 holes being played on each day over the National Course, while the Boys’ Division is for 18 and under golfers and is played over 54 holes from Monday to Wednesday, over the National Course.

The teams will be arriving in Abu Dhabi over the next couple of days, when the draw will published.

The four-man UAE Team:

Ahmad Skaik, Khalifa Al Masaood, Rashid Al Emadi and Saeed Malik.
