Race to Georgia announces Qualifying Round dates around the GCC

19 Qualifying Rounds - 13 in the UAE, 5 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and 1 in Bahrain

The Race to Georgia, powered by REZA Hygiene has announced the qualifying rounds for this new season long golf tournament initiative.

19 Qualifying Rounds; 13 in the UAE, five in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and one in Bahrain will take place at the leading golf clubs in the GCC over the next four months, with the top two players from each Qualifying Round going through to the regional final at the Montgomerie Golf Club on 25th February 2023, a unique themed event that includes a prize giving dinner and raffle with exciting prizes and memorabilia.

The two winners from the Regional Final will each win a one-week all-inclusive trip to Georgia in the US, to play in the Race to Georgia World Final at a local Georgia course, competing against amateur golfers from the US and Europe, and the opportunity to attend the 2023 Masters as Patrons. The 2022 – 2023 Race to Georgia is sanctioned by the Emirates Golf Federation.

Each Club Qualifying Round will be an 18 hole individual Stableford format with the following tournament conditions:

• Men’s Handicap limit 24
• Women’s Handicap limit 36
• 75% of Handicap (EGF / National Handicap)

The feedback from the golf clubs has been hugely positive with the first Qualifying Round taking place at Dirab Golf Club, KSA, tomorrow (Saturday).’
