Emirates Golf Club recently hosted their annual Ladies Pink Ball competition on the Majlis to help raise awareness for breast cancer.

The event welcomed 67 golfers during breast cancer awareness month, with Fiona Berry, Sue Hopwood, Anita Jopp and Maureen Platt crowned champions of the day after posting an impressive score of 87 points . The quartert produced a solid round of golf, which included five net birdies and three net eagles on the back nine.

In second place, just losing out on a better back nine, was Naima Maya, Martha Wong, Najla Bartette and Maura Duggan. The group had a flying start to the back nine, making three gross birdies and two net birdies between holes ten and twelve, which was followed up with a gross birdie on hole 16.

Third spot went to Helen Strivastava, Maya Strivastava, Josie Tracey and Rekha Bandopadhay, who managed three gross birdies and one net birdie on the fron nine to post 86 points.

In the activations, nearest to the pin in two on Hole 2 (0-18) was won by Jennifer Bang and straightest drive on Hole 8 by Haide Wright. Nearest to the pin in two on Hole 17 (19-36) was won by Kiyono Taniuchi. Throughout the round there were some extra actitavtions, which included Maria Petre winning a Maserati for a weekend and Anita Staahle winning an Odyssey putter.

The best dressed team team went to Maria Arias, Maribel Xammar, Monica Palao and Gemma Blanco.
