The second official qualifying round of the 2022 Emirates NBD Race to Malaysia took place at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club sanctioned and supported by the Emirates Golf Federation.

Leading Division 1 was Miki Mirza (1) who impressed with a gross 70 to win the top Division by two net shots.

Confidence booster

Mirza commented at the prize presentation, “I had just double bogeyed hole 16 and knew I needed some birdies to qualify, so to see my shot enter the hole from 100 yards on 17 gave me a real boost at a critical time in my round. I am delighted to represent Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club in the UAE National Final of the Emirates NBD Race to Malaysia at Al Hamra Golf Club, in October. It is great to see International Amateur events, like this, back at Dubai Creek and the UAE so thanks to the sponsors for making this happen.”

Janet Kim (10) took top honours in Division 2 with a best of the day net 65 and a win on the countback from Sateesh Sreedharan (12).
