But it was no smooth sailing after that. 'Bennifer', as the couple was dubbed then by the media, decided to call off their wedding owing to intense media scrutiny and then decided to part ways. As the years rolled by, Affleck and Lopez would maintain a healthy regard for each other. Destiny would come calling in 2021, when Affleck reportedly met Lopez at her residence in 2021.
