9 Halloween events in Dubai to enjoy with family
Dubai: Halloween is just a week away! Get ready to enjoy a spooktacular Halloween with your family in Dubai. Here are eight places to check out this week.
1. Halloween bash and pumpkin carving
Head down to Osteria Mario and Shvili at Dubai Hills Mall this Halloween. The family friendly eatery will be hosting a Halloween bash on October 31 from 4pm.
The event agenda promises an afternoon of ghosts and ghouls, fancy dress, decorations, entertainment in the kids’ hub, and spiced beverages for mums and dads.
Guests are invited to join a fancy dress competition to win prizes and sweet treats, and get stuck into Halloween-themed workshops and cooking classes.

2. Pumpkin carving and more at Novotel Dubai
Calling all ghosts and ghouls to join the creepiest party in town at its in-house café, Café Java, at Novotel Dubai, Al Barsha, on October 31.
Café Java is brewing up a cauldron of activities for an evening filled with treats, and desserts. The restaurant will also provide pumpkins and carving tools to families to craft their own Jack-o’-lanterns. The finished masterpieces will be displayed in the café for all to admire.
Children dressed in their spookiest costumes will be gifted a ‘Haunting Howling Donut' for free. Adults can also join from October 25 to 31 for just Dh25.

3. The Taleweaver’s Nightmare Emporium
Head to Motiongate Dubai for their special Halloween celebrations. ‘Fright Nights: Volume VI’, featuring this year’s theme – ‘Curse of the Taleweaver’, will run from Wednesdays to Sundays from 4pm onwards.
The family friendly show stars ‘The Taleweaver’, a storyteller who brings childhood nightmares to life, and takes guests on a masterfully narrated journey as myths and legends come to life before the audience’s eyes. The 20-minute show runs from Wednesday to Sunday and is included in the entry ticket to Motiongate.
During the visit, guests can experience 13 Halloween-themed experiences and scare zones, including meet and greets with character favourites like The Smurfs and Hotel Transylvania, dressed in their Halloween best.
4. Lego monsters at Legoland
Meanwhile, over at Legoland Dubai, younger visitors can be part of a monster party, taking place till October 31. The event promises a long lineup of activities, including the dance party, the annual Brick or Treat, and the 4D movie ‘The Great Monster Chase’. With Lego monsters taking over, families can also extend their stay with a Monster Sleepover in fully themed rooms including limited edition gifts and a letter from Lord Vampyre.
5. Spooky masks and parades
Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai is hosting a weekend of Halloween activities for all ages at the resort.
For four days, starting from October 28, guests can enjoy a selection of Halloween-themed activities including the likes of mask making, a spooky parade, scary face painting, spooky kids discos, mystical illusionist shows, fire dance shows, a live DJ, and many more.
The resort will also be hosting sporting entertainments like aqua aerobics to beach volleyball.

6. Halloween celebration at IMG Worlds of Adventure
Until October 31, IMG Worlds of Adventure is welcoming thrill-seekers to enjoy their Halloween celebrations. This year, IMG has unleashed a zombie apocalypse theme for events and a chillingly eerie décor.
A haunted tree stands tall at the gates and as you step inside, coffins and menacing Jack o' lanterns lurk in the shadows. As you venture deeper into the realm of frights, you encounter scary portraits and paintings that seem to come to life.
Dodge hanging bats at each junction of the park and uncover the secrets of the ‘Book of the Dead’ and the ominous ‘Grim Throne’, both waiting to challenge your courage. Don’t forget to pose at the unique coffin photo in the Cartoon Network Zone.
Watch air dancers soar and twirl and phantoms on bikes glide through the venue. In the main lobby, menacing pumpkins and eerie zombies encircle the looming dinosaurs
Little ones can embark on a pumpkin hunt, enjoy kid-friendly shows, meet friendly monsters, and enjoy the Halloween ‘Trick or Treat Town’, which offers games, activities, and treats. Children can get candy at trick-or-treating stations.
Guests can also enjoy a Spooky Dance Party, an African Drumming Show, the ‘Freak Show Parade’, which is a travelling zombie circus, and the ‘Wizard Magic Show’.
A new addition this year is the Haunted Café at IMG.
Festival of Fright, IMG's signature and well-known annual Halloween Bash, is also back on October 28 at 8pm.

7. Halloween-themed brunch
Lapita, Dubai Parks and Resorts will roll out the orange carpet with the first ‘Lu’wow Weekender’, which will take on a Halloween theme next weekend – October 27 to 29.
Guests can enjoy a Halloween-themed brunch on Saturday, featuring a variety of dishes, priced at Dh250 per adult, with children aged 6 to 12.
Throughout the weekend, the resort will buzz with Halloween-themed activities with special spooky character appearances during the brunches from 1 to 4pm.

Guests can book tickets for the Spooktacular Family Weekend screenings of Disney’s popular film, The Haunted Mansion, scheduled for October 28 and 29 at the Dubai Hills Mall branch.
