SHARJAH’S PINK CARAVAN LEAVES NO ROOM FOR EXCUSES: The extension of the Pink Caravan’s reach to cover the suburbs of Sharjah will no doubt greatly benefit women living in these areas as they can get themselves screened in their own neighbourhoods. While everyone knows the need and importance of early screening for breast cancer, it takes a certain degree of effort to get it done. Invariably, women tend to put it off on the grounds of being too busy or due to sheer negligence. ON HIRING, UAE BUSINESSES STICK WITH CAUTION – AND THAT’S UNDERSTANDABLE: Airlines in the UAE are on a hiring spree, while hotel operators are making do with the tight staffing structure they have had in place since October of 2021, when the Expo opened. PRESSURE OFF MAN UTD AFTER BEATING LIVERPOOL: Manchester United have got their season back on track after putting in a solid performance to beat arch-rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford. It was exactly the performance that was needed after they had made a terrible start to the new season with two consecutive defeats including a hiding from Brentford. But new United coach Erik Ten Hag will be feeling much happier after the 2-1 win over Jurgen Klopp’s Reds. It will relieve the pressure from the team and coach as they try to gain some momentum with more games coming up thick and fast.
