'Fazaa Behaviors' app encourages people to be productive members of society
Dubai: If you are a fitness enthusiast or working towards becoming a more productive member of your community, there is an app in the UAE that will reward good behaviour. As part of the UAE’s National Programme for Behavioural Rewards – Fazaa, the app allows users to earn points for eating at healthy restaurants, enrolling in educational programmes or registering at health and fitness centres. Here is all that you need to know about the app.
What is the Fazaa Behaviors app?
The ‘Fazaa Behaviors’ app, which is available for both Apple and Android devices, offers users a chance to earn ‘Dana points’ by watching educational videos and engaging in productive and healthy activities at partnering outlets.
It can be used by both citizens and residents of the UAE.
The minimum age for a user has to be 15 years.
Why was it launched?
The app is part of the National Programme for Behavioural Rewards – Fazaa, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai earlier this year. The behavioural rewards management team is led by Lt. Gen. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, under the Ministry of Possibilities’ mandate to work on a national methodology to encourage positive behaviour as an approved process across the country.
What are the different categories of activity or behaviour for which users can earn points?
From UAE-based universities and sports academies to gyms and healthy food outlets, the organisations that have partnered with the programme offer users a chance to earn Dana points when they register for a course or spend on a healthy and productive lifestyle.
How can I redeem the points I earn?
According to the Fazaa Behaviors app, the option to redeem points will soon be available on the app.
Once the option to redeem points is activated, users will family friendly entertainment venues like Kidzania, Dubai Aquarium, Dubai Parks and Resorts, IMG World of Adventures or even at fine dining restaurants, as per the programme’s official website - www.fazaanationalrewards.ae
