UAE: How you can register for the Russian COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials

Abu Dhabi based volunteer programme for Phase III clinical trials is inviting participants

Dubai: Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health has launched the volunteer programme for Phase III clinical trials of the Russian human adenovirus-based vaccine under the campaign titled ‘Vaccine for Victory’.

According to the announcement posted on their social media channels, 500 volunteers from Abu Dhabi will initially be invited to participate.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible, volunteers must

• be living in Abu Dhabi

• be at least 18 years old

• have not previously been infected with COVID-19

• have not suffered any communicable or respiratory diseases in the last 14 days

• have not participated in any other COVID-19 vaccination trial.

How can I register?

Step 1: Log on to the Vaccine for Victory website – www.v4v.ae

Step 2: Enter your personal details, including your full name, age, nationality, contact information and Emirates ID number.

Step 3: Fill out the health-information questionnaire, which includes getting details of your health history, as well as any exposure to the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Step 4: Agree to the terms and conditions and submit the request.

Vaccination process

Once your application is approved, you will be contacted for a screening and eligibility check.

Volunteers will then receive two doses of the vaccine, administered 20 days apart, and will be regularly monitored through visits and teleconsultations.
