Dubai: Dh6 million worth of gold will be up for grabs this Dubai Shopping Festival. That’s a total of 24kg gold. And that’s not all. From luxury cars to family sedans, and up to 90 per cent discounts across top malls in Dubai, the upcoming edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival is going to be a delight for the shopper in you.

Here is a look at the top takeaways from the DSF calendar, which was announced today by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment.

When does it start?

This is the 27th edition of DSF, which is the longest running shopping festival in the world and the latest edition will start this week on December 15 and run up till January 30, 2022.

Raffle draws are a big draw

The month-and-a-half long festival will offer people various chances to win in raffle draws – from the Nissan Grand Raffle, where people who fill petrol at Enoc stations stand a chance to win Nissan Kicks, Patrol, X-TERRA or X-TRAIL, to the INFINITI Mega Raffle, where a purchased raffle ticket will give participants a chance to win an INFINITI QX80 and Dh100,000 in cash every day. There are also the DSF Mega Cash Prize Draw, the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group Raffle as well as weekly raffles organised by malls across Dubai.

Open markets

Long time residents of the UAE will remember the first few years of DSF having open markets organised on either side of Dubai creek. The outdoor markets will once again offer shoppers the experience of enjoying good food, buying knick-knacks and engaging in family activities while outside in the UAE’s best winter days. These include the Etisalat Market OTB in Burj Park and the DSF Market at Al Seef.
