As part of the proceedings, Decentraland will not only host virtual fashion shows, it will, just like the real thing, have pop-up shops and afterparties, too.

The brands and designers, along with a slew of fashion devotees will converge at the Decentraland’s hip new ‘Luxury Fashion District’ for the event.

The Metaverse Fashion Week will be kicked off by London retail giant, Selfridges, and the show will also mark the launch of the brand’s flagship metaverse store.

All the shows will be held on a futuristic runway, which will be surrounded by a luxury shopping area that draws its inspiration from the architecture at Avenue Montaigne in Paris. It will feature a vast selection of brands such as Dolce&Gabbana, Elie Saab, Etro, Tommy Hilfiger, Dundas, Jacob & Co., Franck Muller, Garrett Leight, Cavalli, Faith Connexion and Faith Tribe among several others.

There will be a marketplace for digital-to-physical garments and NFTs by Boson Protocol, as well.

There will be a Community Precinct presented by Metaparty and virtual real estate marketplace, Parcel.so. This will feature a multi-layered experience including mini-games, parkour, a relaxation floor and a fashion show. The latter will feature the best-of-the-best from the Decentraland wearables designer community.
