The individual title was won by Rohit Gupta (Emirates NBD, EGC) with 21 points off a handicap of 3 who shot a gross 35 highlighted by birdies on holes 5 and 6.
Sudesh Aggarwal, chairman of EAGL, said at the conclusion of the tournament, “We are delighted with the whole day today. The morning EAGL Junior Championship hosted by Shiv Kapur was a great success with huge potential. The EAGL concept is still new to both us and the marketplace with challenges especially around the live TV broadcast on Dubai Sports Channel and on the EAGL YouTube Channel. This broadcast element is unique to amateur corporate golf around the world. We are all excited with the feedback from a great day at The Track today. It was all about competitive golf, corporate networking and having fun through the platform of golf. Today has exceeded all our expectations.”
“We will now review the feedback internally along with our sponsors and partners and plan ahead for the 2022 season for the EAGL Business Series as well as the EAGL Junior Championship and other EAGL initiatives in the UAE. We thank all our Team sponsors for their trust in this EAGL,” Aggarwal said.
