Brighton College win BSME Golf Open
Brighton College, Dubai won the eighth edition of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME) Golf Open after carding a team total of 380 at Arabian Ranches Golf Club.
In the individual events Mo Craig, representing GEMS FirstPoint School, Dubai, took the Boy’s Gross Division with rounds of 71 and 67 for a 36-hole total of 138 to win by an impressive 12 shots.
“I shot a second round 67 – my best score in my career,” said Craig.
“I played good golf today. I just tried not to make too many mistakes and holed a few putts. My next event is the Tommy Fleetwood Pathway Series Presented by DP World at Al Hamra Golf Club.”
In the Girl’s Gross Division, Lucia Maturi, playing off a 1 handicap, shot rounds of 76 and 70 for a 36-hole total of 146 to win by one shot.
The 36-hole event involved participation from 18 schools from Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Qatar and Dubai.
