The announcements of new flights by the likes of flydubai and Saudia are timely. They serve notice of what’s available for all those wanting to hop over to catch a match time to plan. These new frequencies will also reduce the chances of ticket rates soaring into the Dh6,000-Dh7,000 realms, as many had been fearing for some time now. Will more flights be added between now and November by more airlines? Anything would help if the price of a ticket to Doha rests easy on the pockets. And all those wanting to make the trip need only have the match-ups and players in their minds. It’s the Reds’ third final in five seasons, after they followed their 3-1 loss to Real in Kyiv by beating Tottenham Hotspur in Madrid a year later, and they are widely seen as slight favourites at the Stade de France to become kings of Europe for a seventh time. Real Madrid, most successful team in the history of the tournament, are looking for their 14th title. However, the K-Pop group BTS has changed the game. They’re set to meet US President Joe Biden next week, amid AANHPI (Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander) Heritage Month, to discuss Asian inclusion and representation. Through their career, the septet have used their unprecedented global fame to drive change and inspire others. They’re a prime example of celebrities who are a force for good in the world.[COMMENT BY: Jennifer Barretto, Assistant Editor – Features] Image Credit: AFP
