In a celebration of creativity and craftsmanship, Van Cleef & Arpels has crowned Hajer Al Tenaiji as the winner of the 10th edition of the Middle East Emergent Designer Prize, in partnership with Tashkeel. This milestone event not only honors emerging talent from across the region but also reinforces the commitment of both organizations to foster local artistry.

Hajer’s award-winning design, the "Dhow Kite," is a stunning homage to the cultural heritage of the Middle East, seamlessly merging traditional motifs with elements inspired by nature. The selection process was rigorous, with a distinguished jury evaluating an array of impressive submissions from aspiring designers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait.

This year’s competition also recognized the remarkable contributions of two runners-up: Lamis Yahia, for her "Breezeborn Console," and Khaled Al Kathir, for the "No Beginning Chandelier." Their inclusion highlights the initiative’s broader mission to nurture and uplift local talent.

As part of her prize, Hajer will embark on an enriching journey to Paris, where she will participate in courses at L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts. Additionally, all three designers will be welcomed at L’ÉCOLE Middle East in Dubai Design District, where they will engage in workshops and discussions, further enhancing their creative journeys.

The 10th anniversary of this prestigious prize not only celebrates individual achievements but also marks a decade of dedication to cultivating a vibrant design community in the Middle East.
