Resecurity, a leading player in cybersecurity, has been honoured with the prestigious Cybersecurity - Technology category at the Middle East Technology Excellence Awards 2024, a media release said. This recognition highlights the company's innovative contributions to digital security, particularly its Digital Identity Protection solution. The award ceremony, hosted by Asian Business Review Magazine, celebrates companies, initiatives, and leaders that leverage cutting-edge technology to drive business success and innovation across the Middle East.

Resecurity has provided a robust layer of protection for both consumers and businesses in key regional markets such as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and recently Qatar, successfully expanding its coverage across all GCC member states. Resecurity’s success in combating cyber threats through its Digital Identity Protection solution addresses the growing need for digital identity security in the region, the company said.

The significance of such solutions is underscored by recent data: according to the FBI's IC3 analysis, global cybercrime-related losses exceeded $12.5 billion in 2023—a $2 billion increase from the previous year. Resecurity’s solution offers real-time monitoring of Dark Web activity, data breaches, and fraudulent transactions, effectively protecting consumers from identity theft and account takeovers. This proactive defence mechanism provides a comprehensive way to safeguard user data.

The company has been proactive in rolling out its solutions in collaboration with numerous government agencies, managed security service providers (MSSPs), Internet service providers (ISPs), and leading educational and financial institutions across the region. In 2024, Resecurity forged strategic partnerships with top ICT pioneers, including Ooredoo (Oman) and Mannai (Qatar). One of the company's first large-scale implementations took place in Saudi Arabia, where the solution was introduced at Blackhat MEA, covering over 1 million users.

Resecurity’s Digital Identity Protection solution has been well received by a diverse range of clients, including financial institutions, government bodies, and energy sector organizations in the Middle East, the company said. “Resecurity is proud to safeguard millions of consumers in the region. Our solution ensures that businesses and citizens stay cyber-safe, while also advancing digital protection measures and anti-fraud initiatives for key financial institutions and e-commerce leaders. This has resulted in saving over US$650 million annually per region,” said Mohammed Alghamdi, Managing Director at Resecurity in Saudi Arabia.

Originally recognized primarily in North America, Resecurity has successfully expanded its services to the Middle East, making digital identity protection more accessible. The company’s success in protecting consumers and businesses from identity-related threats has earned it global recognition. Frost & Sullivan named Resecurity a leader in cyber threat intelligence and external threat risk management, further solidifying its reputation.

With the Middle East Technology Excellence Award now under its belt, Resecurity is set to continue advancing cybersecurity efforts in the region, ensuring businesses and citizens remain safe in an increasingly digital world.
