Sorry, not Sorry! Demi Lovato is coming to Dubai
Dubai: If you’re a self-professed ‘Lovatic’ in Dubai, then you’re in luck. The Grammy-nominated pop singer will be performing their best hits live at the Coca Cola Arena in Dubai, the venue announced on Thursday.
Fans can expect Lovato to belt out some of their best songs, including Sorry Not Sorry, Skyscraper, and Échame la Culpa. The live concert is slated for March 18, and is the only scheduled event on the singer’s website as of Thursday.
The 30-year-old Lovato released their eighth studio album in 2022.
New single coming up
The singer’s next single ‘Still Alive’, which hasn’t been released yet, will be part of the soundtrack for the movie Scream VI. The horror flick is set to release on March 10 and a live performance of the song could be a part of the Dubai show given the timing of the release. The single will be Lovato’s first release since their album launch in 2022.
Lovato started their career on ‘Barney & Friends’, before going on to star in the musical Camp Rock and its sequel. They played the lead in a sitcom, Disney’s ‘Sonny with a Chance’, as a teenager, and later served as a judge on ‘The X Factor’ USA for two seasons.
Lovato experienced a near-fatal opioid overdose in July 2018, which they discussed at length in the 2021 YouTube docuseries ‘Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil’.
Tickets for the performance start at Dh195, and the show is set to begin at 7.30pm on the day.
