Dubai: 7 reasons Al Quoz should be on your weekend exploration list

Known as an industrial area, it has now become a place of hidden gems to explore

Al Quoz is known for its many industrial areas, car shops and supermarkets but it also has a great selection of places that you could head to for a unique experience or two. Al Quoz is centrally placed between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road. The area is divided into residential, commercial and industrial. The nearest metro station is the Al Safa metro station which has now been renamed as OMPASSIVE for 10 years. Nearby malls include Times Square and Oasis Center Malls towards Sheikh Zayed Road, and Al Quoz Mall, Al Khail Mall and Grand City Mall further in. Image Credit: Supplied

If you want to just relax and take in the cool weather, head to a hidden oasis of sorts called The Courtyard. With cobbled walkways and lush foliage, it is at a stark contrast to Al Quoz’s reputation as an industry-heavy area. Art galleries, eateries, kids’ workshops, markets, and more await visitors here. For families with children, the area has a couple of options to work out all that energy. Take the family to Bounce Dubai which is a trampoline park and let them go wild.
