How to make Lahore's famous fried fish

This dish is a delicacy people from across Pakistan flock to the city to try out



PREP TIME 20 m

SERVES 4
Ingredients

    500gm white fish (Nile Perch or Hamour)

    1/2 tsp crushed chilli powder

    1 tbsp lemon juice

    Salt to taste

    1/2 tsp crushed coriander seeds

    1/2 tsp carom seeds (also known as ajwain)

    25gm gram flour

Ingredient Substitution Guide

METHOD

1. Cut fish fillets into square pieces.

2. Add all the spices and marinate for 15 to 20 minutes.

3. Heat oil in wok and deep fry the fish till golden and crispy.

4. Serve with French fries and mint chutney.
