Wondering what UAE’s traditional food scene looks like? Now you can get a first-hand look at Expo 2020 when the world fair opens its doors on October 1.

The Arabian Tea House Restaurant and Café, the first Emirati eatery established in 1997 – known then as Basta Art Café - has confirmed its presence in the Opportunity District, in the Emaar Hospitality Tower.

Ali Al Rais and Rania Saied, Founder of Arabian Tea House, released a statement confirming the news: “I am very excited that Arabian Tea House, the first Emirati restaurant, will be showcased to millions of international visitors at The World’s Greatest Show. I believe that the best way to explore different cultures is through food, and Expo 2020 Dubai offers the perfect opportunity and platform to demonstrate Emirati hospitality.”

Among the treats available is the breakfast tray, which comprises Balaleet (vermicelli cooked with cardamom, cinnamon, saffron topped with omelette); dates molasses; cheddar cheese; melted cheese; baked beans; watermelon jam; dango; and bajella, which comes with traditional bread (khameer, chebab and tanoor).
