Dubai: With preparations in full gear for the upcoming Expo 2020 in the UAE, the much-awaited event is already creating a buzz in the local and international job market. With 192 countries participating in the event, that will start on October 1, the Expo 2020 website has listed various job openings in the fields of marketing and communications, IT, facilities management, service and hospitality.

If you are on the lookout for a new job, these are the opportunities available, as per Expo 2020’s official website - www.expo2020dubai.com on April 7, 2021.

Job vacancies

Senior Manager – International Media

This job requires the candidate to have at least eight years of experience in communications, including managing the media and other stakeholders, to manage communication activities and campaigns that support and enhance the positioning of Expo 2020, Dubai and the UAE.

Senior Manager, Influencer Marketing

This job requires the candidate to play a key role within the marketing and communications departments at Expo 2020 to amplify their activities and initiatives and fulfil both brand and reputational objectives of Expo 2020. The role is responsible for leading the social media team and overseeing the strategy execution by the social media team and external agencies.

Vice President - Campaigns

The VP of Campaigns will shape the Expo 2020 campaigns and manage them from both a creation and execution point of view. This role will oversee relationships with Creative and Media agencies making sure all campaigns across domestic and international markets, are planned, created, executed and delivered according to the Expo brand guideline, marketing brief, and approved budgets within the set timelines.

This job requires the candidate to plan the onward dissolution channel for every asset procured by Expo 2020, as part of the Asset Dissolution project. The individual will be required to arrange a smooth and efficient handover of assets to the eventual recipients.

This job requires the candidate to conduct the daily route planning of all the school groups coming on to the Expo site.

Coordinator Facilities Management

This job requires the candidate to support the manager with oversight and performance management of the service providers delivering services within their zone.

Assistant Manager - Workforce Catering

This job requires the candidate to be a team leader who can effectively contribute to the service planning, operational management and contract management of providers supplying Workforce Catering at the Expo 2020 site.

Guest Experience - Associate

This job requires the candidate to perform, engage and explain complex technologies by performing demonstrations to a variety of audiences.

Senior Accountant - Ticketing

The key responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will be to support the Revenue Team in carrying out daily operational activities supporting the ticketing, F&B, retail and all other revenue streams, assist the Assistant Manager - Revenue with relevant reporting requirements and provide assistance to the department with ad-hoc requirements and deliverables.

Manager Zone Operations

The purpose of the Zone Operations Manager (ZOM) is to contribute to the operational readiness and delivery of a particular area within the Expo2020 Site. This role will be expected to work with a number of internal business functions, departments and external partners to ensure the delivery of an exceptional Expo2020.

2. Click on the profile icon on top right hand corner of the website.

3. Scroll down and click on ‘Register now’

4. Provide your first and last name, email address and set a password. Read the terms and conditions of the website and check the box acknowledging the same.

5. You will receive a verification email. Once you click on the link, you will then be asked to sign in using your new login details.

6. You will then need to follow the steps to build your candidate profile with details of your work experience, educational qualifications and also build a cover letter, which will be saved with your profile.

7. Once you have completed building your profile, you would need to click on ‘Search opportunities’ on the panel on the top.

8. Once you have reviewed a job profile that matches your interest and qualifications, click on ‘Apply now’ at the end of the profile.

9. The application process is fairly simple, with the option to add a customised cover letter for each job application.
