The Indian Academy celebrates Republic Day of India

Celebrations included cultural programmes by students and hoisting of the Indian flag

The Indian Academy, Dubai celebrated the 73rd Republic Day of India at a special ceremony held at the school last week. The Indian Republic Day is celebrated to commemorate the day India became a sovereign republic after its constitution came into effect on January 26, 1950.

The celebration, which included cultural activities by students, was attended by Mr. Nabil Lahir, CEO, LEAMS Education, Dr. Mohammed Lahir, BOD, LEAMS Education, Dr. Tim Hughes, CAO LEAMS Education and Ms. Susan Rubin Varghese, Principal, TIAD. Dr. Paul, President of TEPA, inaugurated the programme by hoisting the Indian flag and addressing the gathering at the school.
