Dubai: The ecommerce platform Hubb has entered the UAE’s food and beverage market and intent on “eliminating the high costs involved in third-party transactions by other delivery giants”.

Hubb offers a monthly subscription fee of Dh50 (until end 2021, and Dh100 thereafter), with no added commission. Plus, until September 15, restaurants can sign-up for free.

“At a time when restaurants across the globe are facing huge financial struggles in the face of COVID-19, Hubb is looking to change food order-and-delivery by providing the industry with a more sustainable business model that does not eat into restaurants’ revenue,” the company said in a statement.

Restaurants that sign up to Hubb will have the option of using their own delivery drivers (to ensure all profit goes to them), or after September 15, it will a third-party food delivery service option.
