An Emirates-branded Mithai truck went around the city, giving away Diwali delights. Mithais are Indian sweets, such as "burfi" or "gulab jamun".

The 50-second clip shows people heading down to the rolling store were sweets were given away and colouring books shared with children.

In the video, taken at City Walk and Bollywood Parks Dubai, some of the airline's air hosts and hostesses also showed their Bollywood dance moves.

The Indian festival one of the most widely celebrated and anticipated, marked with glowing lights, sparkling fireworks, resonant rituals and delectable sweets.

Many of the midrise residential areas in Dubai are decked up for Diwali, with the light-festooned districts of Bur Dubai becoming a feast for the eyes.

The shops, too, become a hive of activity in the pre-festival buying frenzy, as Diwali is deemed a time for gift-giving, family get-togethers and spring cleaning.
