Enhanced exterior styling and subtle changes inside round off a mid-cycle update

The Stinger GT, which came out in 2017, played a significant role in altering the image and perception of Kia as a brand. Despite having no performance heritage, the South Korean carmaker managed to build the Stinger as a proper sports saloon in every sense with help from ex-BMW M engineer Albert Biermann. The upgraded fastback saloon has been revealed in Korean specification for Kia’s domestic market, and gets a range of design updates, inside and out. Up front, it gets new reflector LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights with a refreshed design. Image Credit: Supplied

At the rear, an updated combination lamp shows off a new light signature, extending the full width of the car. The new turn signals comprise a collection of ten individual LED units each, arranged in a grid pattern to mimic the appearance of a checkered flag, suggestive of the car’s decent performance credentials. Kia says buyers of more powerful examples of the Stinger now have the option to specify larger wide-bore bright silver exhaust mufflers, with a more purposeful rear diffuser to beef up the looks. Image Credit: Supplied

While the cabin design remains unchanged, it gets a few subtle enhancements such as a metallic finish on the lower section of the steering wheel, a chrome bezel that now surrounds the 7.0-inch fully-digital instrument cluster and a frameless rear-view mirror among others.
