Dubai: Cavit Yildiz shot a gross 77 for 38 Stableford points to win the December round of The Senior Champions Tour (TSCT) at Trump International Golf Club, Dubai.

48 players competed in the tournament with the format of full handicap index with a maximum handicap of 24 and the event was the fourth event of the 2022-2023 TSCT Order of Merit series.

Yildiz, receiving eight shots, started the shotgun start on hole 8 and birdied his second hole, the ninth and played the back nine in 40 shots against the par of 35.

Close contest

Five pars on the last seven holes saw Yildiz take the top prize by 5 points in Division A.

The winner of Division B was Arvind Kittur with 37 points in a closely contested division winning by just one point from Alan Clark.

The gross award was won by Marco Saviozzi with a score of 72.

The next event on The Senior Champions Tour is on January 26 at Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

Good support

TSCT is open to all golfers resident in the UAE, holding a valid EGF handicap who are over 50 years of age.
