The Fly Emirates-1 clinched the Champions Trophy during the 1st NBD Invitational Bowling League held at the Dubai Bowling Centre last week.
The Fly Emirates-1 team comprised Selwyn Valentine, Toots Bilocura, Tariq Nader, Mohammad Alam, Rakesh, Ajie Anggaon and Dilan Selvadurai.
Except for one setback courtesy second-placed ME Bank, during the early stages of the league Fly Emirates-1 never looked back and won the final against ME Bank.
Fly Emirates-1 finished with a total of 99 points against ME Bank's 95.
The third and fourth prizes were won by Dubal and Dubai Drydocks, respectively, while Fly Emirates-2 finished fifth, and the sponsors' team, NBD-2, settled for sixth.
The event was sponsored by National Bank of Dubai.
Prizes were given during the final ceremony this week by Mohammad Al Nuaimi, NBD'S senior manager for business development and planning, the secretary general of Emirates Bowling Federation, Humaid Khalifa Al Suwaidi, EBF member Esmail Mohammad and DBC events and operations manager, Elsie Marcial.
