A sailboat without a sail? A submarine that looks like a dolphin, tail and all? Boats and ships are means of conveyance, but no one ever said they had to look boring.

Click start to play today’s Word Search, where you can spot different kinds of boats.

Here are three weird and wonderful boats that grace (or once sailed on) the world’s oceans:

1. Sea Breacher

A semi-submersible boat that can cruise at speeds up to 80km/h, the Sea Breacher looks exactly like a dolphin, and can even be finished to look like a shark, torpedo or alien spacecraft! Founded by the American company Innespace, the two-seater was inspired by the shape of the dolphin, and even imitates its movement. It can dive five feet beneath the surface, and leap 16 feet into the air!

2. SWATH Sea Shadow

An experimental ship built for the US Navy in 1984, the Sea Shadow or IX 529 was used to examine how stealth technology worked on naval vessels. SWATH stands for “small waterplane area twin hull”. The boat had 12 bunks, a microwave oven, a fridge and a table, but was never commissioned. Its unique design makes it seem like something out of a fantasy film.

3. Planet Solar

Founded by the Swiss explorer Raphael Domjan in 2010, Planet Solar is the largest solar-powered boat in the world. In May 2012, it became the first solar vehicle to circumnavigate the globe (it took 584 days)! About 102 feet long and 49 feet wide, the colossal craft is covered in solar panels. In full sunlight, it generates 127 horsepower and cruises at up to 10 knots.
